Generic Latuda (Lurasidone Hydrochloride) Is Now Available

The generic formulation of Latuda (Lurasidone Hydrochloride) has been approved by the FDA.

Lurasidone Hydrochloride is an atypical antipsychotic indicated for the treatment of depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder (bipolar depression) in adults and pediatric patients aged 10 to 17 years old as monotherapy. It is also used as an adjunctive treatment with Lithium or Valproate in adult patients with major depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder. Lurasidone Hydrochloride may also be used in the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and adolescents.

Amneal Pharmaceuticals and Accord Healthcare INC. manufacture the generic formulation of Lurasidone Hydrochloride. It is available as Lurasidone Hydrochloride 20mg, 40mg, 60mg, 80mg and 120mg tablets.
